Procedures for the First Week of School

It is that time of year again.....Teachers are busy making sure their classroom looks perfect.  Students are getting school supplies.  They are excited and maybe a little nervous to start the new school year.  Procedures are essential to making sure your classroom runs smoothly all year long.

Procedures are a must do for new and seasoned teachers alike.  If you are a new teacher you may not have thought about some of these things.  Once you have a clear plan in place for each of these items, write it down and make it a point to teach these items in the first few days of school.

No seriously....these are IMPORTANT.

I also decided I needed a checklist to help me plan and keep track of the procedures that I needed to teach.  I typed in the procedure then left blank spaces to write down the plan and a box to check off at the end.  Here is the finished product:
