This week we have been reviewing for state testing. Fun...Loads of fun.....Right......So I set off to try to make this review as engaging as possible. Here are a few ideas that we tried:
Guess the Question
I seperated the class into teams. I posted the answer choices to a question on the board. The teams take turns trying to guess the question. They had a great time with this game!
The Answer is Written on the Wall
The students are given a list of questions. They have to walk around the room trying to find the answer that has been posted on the wall. This sounds pretty simple, but my kids really love playing this game!
Post-it Review
This is kind of like the game Headbands
(a hilarious game if you ever get a chance to play it). The teacher writes a review term on a post-it and puts on a students' forehead. Students move around the classroom trying to explain the term that is written on the post-it without saying the word. The student with the post-it on their forehead tries to guess what the word is. This is a great way for students to tell what they know about a subject.
