I love holidays. It gives us a chance to step away from the routine and do something different. I love to decorate my classroom and throw in a little holiday fun whenever I can.
Sometimes I add funny pictures to the daily agenda. I have even incorporated some Halloween fun during our work with division. The students were given a handful of candy corn and told to share it with 3 friends. We talked about being fair and sharing equally between the friends. My students had a great time, and didn't even realize they were doing division.
